PRICING & LICENSING

The following prices are licensing charges for the TWUIK SDK and runtime engine.

Small Firms and Individuals

There are no runtime license fees for TWUIK powered apps. Indie Developers and Small Firms are free to build as many TWUIK powered apps as they like and sell world wide without any limitations or restrictions. TWUIK SDK comes with basic support for 1 year which includes the following

• Access to TWUIK ticketing Support Suite
• Free Updates and Patches to TWUIK SDK
• Free Updates to new devices supported
• Access to TWUIK Developer Community Site (TBA)

Support after year 1 is charged at £75 per license per year.

Licensing Details

The TWUIK SDK license may be used for personal or commercial development. Applications built using TWUIK may be published, distributed and offered for sale by the licensee as they wish. There are no restrictions on the number of applications which can be built. There are no runtime restrictions, distribution fees or other license requirements on the applications built using the TWUIK SDK.

The license is perpetual, no renewal is required.

• The licensee may wish to renew their support and maintenance contract after the initial 12 month period
• The licensee may wish to purchase major new version of TWUIK when they become available. These are available to existing licensees at a significant discount.

A single licence covers the use of the TWUIK SDK on a single machine.  To use the SDK on multiple machines you must purchase multiple licences.

Online activation is required before running the software. Each TWUIK SDK licence is associated with a unique key-code registered against the machine on which the SDK is installed.

For physical installation, customers will receive a single installer for the SDK even when multiple licences are purchased within a single order.  The Tricast licence server will enable multiple machines to load and run the SDK up to the number of licences purchased.

Once the SDK is installed and activated, there is no further user login required to use the SDK.

The software is authenticated against Tricast’s licence server each time a build is initiated on the licensed machine.

Reinstallation is allowed on a different machine if previous installations are removed first. Please contact Tricast support for this service.

Each licence order is transactional - price is based on the number of licences purchased in any one order (not cumulative number).  An order for multiple licences qualifies for volume discounts as published on our pricing page.

Trial Copy

The evaluation licence is designed for a 21 day trial of the software.  The trial version is fully featured, but it inserts a watermark on all applications built with the software.  You cannot use the trial version to publish applications even if they are free of charge, or for commercial use.

The trial version will expire after 21 days.
